Liverpool in talks to make third signing, fee could be £10m – journalist
Liverpool are in talks to sign Andy Robertson from Hull City this summer, says Dharmesh Sheth
Liverpool are in talks to sign left-back Andy Robertson from Hull City this summer, according to Dharmesh Sheth.
The Sky Sports News reporter has revealed that the Reds have opened talks about the possibility of signing the defender this summer and that the player himself has jetted back home from his club’s tour of Portugal.
Sheth has also claimed that a fee for the left-back is likely to be in the region of £10m.
Liverpool are thought to be on the lookout for a new defender in that position this summer after James Milner filled in at left-back for much of last season.
And Sheth has indicated that a deal for the 23-year-old Scottish defender is now approaching completion.
Speaking on Sky Sports News on Tuesday morning, Sheth said: “News to bring you now from Liverpool. Sky sources have told us Liverpool are in talks with Hull City over the left-back Andy Robertson.
“It’s understood that Robertson has flown home from the club’s tour of Portugal.
“A separate source claims a fee that could rise to £10m has been agreed.”
Liverpool have made two signings so far this summer after having confirmed the arrivals of both Mohamed Salah and Dominic Solanke.
Jurgen Klopp is sure to be keen to bolster his squad further this summer as the German prepares his team for a return to the Champions League following their fourth-placed finish last term in the Premier League.
