Dominic Solanke took to Instagram to reflect on his first appearance as a Liverpool player.

The England Under-20 international was a second-half substitute in Liverpool’s 4-0 win against Tranmere Rovers in their opening pre-season friendly.

Solanke signed a long-term deal with the Merseyside outfit earlier this month after Liverpool agreed to sign the forward on a free transfer from Premier League champions Chelsea.

The 19-year-old has enjoyed a pretty eventful summer aside from his big summer transfer to the five-time European champions after Solanke helped England to win the Under-20 World Cup.

Indeed, the new Liverpool arrival followed in the footsteps of Sergio Aguero and Lionel Messi in winning the tournament’s golden ball prize for his outstanding performances.

And Solanke was thrilled to finally pull on the Liverpool shirt for a match as the teenager made a cameo appearance in their pre-season clash against local rivals Tranmere.

Solanke posted the above photo and wrote on his Instagram page: “First minutes in Red 😁🔴.”

Liverpool finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last season to secure a return to the Champions League.
