Liverpool have agreed a fee with Hull City to sign defender Andy Robertson, according to Bryan Swanson.
The Sky Sports News reporter has confirmed that the Reds have reached an agreement with City for the transfer of the left-back as Jurgen Klopp looks to strengthen in that position ahead of his second full season in charge.
Liverpool are thought to be keen to bring in a left-back this summer after James Milner ended up playing in that position for most of last season.
Now, it appears that the Reds are close to completing a deal for the 23-year-old Robertson, with the player expected to undergo a medical with the Merseyside outfit shortly.
Speaking on Sky Sports News on Wednesday morning, Roberton said: “The latest information we have is that Liverpool have agreed a fee with Hull.
“It doesn’t guarantee a transfer. The next stage is logically a medical, and I’m sure we’ll have much more on him soon.”
Liverpool are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new players this summer as Klopp prepares his team for a return to the Champions League next season.
The Reds finished fourth last term and have so far brought in striker Dominic Solanke and winger Mohamed Salah.
