Liverpool are lining up a £70m bid to sign Naby Keita from RB Leipzig, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Reds are ready to step up their attempts to land the Guinea international next week as the look to land their third signing of the summer.

The same report claims that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is determined to land the 22-year-old midfielder as he prepares his team for a return to the Champions League next season.

The story also says that Keita himself is keen to force through a move to Anfield but that the German club remain determined not to sell him this summer.

It is also claimed that Liverpool have already had an opening bid of £57m rejected by the Bundesliga club this summer, with Inter Milan also credited with an interest in the player.

Liverpool have made two signings so far this summer, landing winger Mohamed Salah and striker Dominic Solanke.

However, Klopp will surely be keen to further bolster his squad as he prepares his team to fight on four fronts next season.
