Liverpool line up second bid for top 22-year-old ‘desperate’ for move – report
Liverpool are hoping that a bid of £65m will convince RB Leipzig to sell Naby Keita this summer, say reports
Liverpool are lining up a second big-money bid to sign Naby Keita from RB Leipzig, according to reports in the British regional media.
The Liverpool Echo is reporting that the Reds are ready to test the German club’s resolve with a fresh bid to sign the 22-year-old Guinea international.
The same story claims that Liverpool had an initial offer of around £57m turned down by the Bundesliga club last week.
The article also states that the midfielder is “desperate” to move to Anfield this summer and is said to have urged the Bundesliga club to allow him to sign for the Merseyside outfit this summer.
Liverpool are reportedly hoping that a second bid of around £65m will convince RB Leipzig to do business and sell Keita this summer.
The Reds are thought to be on the lookout for a number of key signings this summer as Jurgen Klopp prepares for his second full season in charge at Anfield.
Liverpool have so far brought in striker Dominic Solanke and winger Mohamed Salah this summer.
