Naby Keita has his heart set on signing for Liverpool this summer, according to former Reds striker Titi Camara.

The 22-year-old midfielder has been heavily linked with a possible move to Anfield this summer as Jurgen Klopp looks to bolster his squad ahead of their return to the Champions League.

It remains to be seen whether the Merseyside outfit will be able to push through a deal to bring the Guinea international to Anfield this summer.

Now, former Liverpool striker Camara has claimed that a deal is looking increasingly likely, and that RB Leipzig are already looking for a replacement for the midfielder.

He also claims that Keita has requested the number nine shirt should he secure a transfer to Anfield this summer.

Camara wrote on Twitter: “From what I’m led to believe Naby has his heart set on LFC move.

“Leipzig have been informed of his intent and are looking for replacement.

“If the the deal is successful Naby has requested No9 shirt. Known as a lucky number to [his] father.”

Liverpool are thought to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer but have so far only concluded deals to sign Dominic Solanke and Mohamed Salah.

The Reds will be looking to launch a serious title challenge next season and also push for success in the Champions League.
