Insider delivers latest update on Philippe Coutinho’s Liverpool future
Kaveh Solhekol says Liverpool are determined to keep hold of Philippe Coutinho beyond the summer
Liverpool are adamant that Philippe Coutinho is happy at the club and that he is not for sale this summer despite links to Barcelona, according to Kaveh Solhekol.
The Sky Sports News reporter has taken to Twitter to give the latest update about the 25-year-old’s situation at Anfield as Barcelona continue to be touted as a possible destination for the attacker.
Liverpool are sure to be keen to keep hold of their prized asset and they are under no pressure to sell, with Coutinho having signed a new five-year contract with the Reds back in January.
Solhekol claims that Barcelona are confident that they can still push through a deal for Coutinho this summer.
However, he also underlined Liverpool’s stance that the player is not for sale this summer.
Solhekol tweeted on Thursday night: “Barcelona think Coutinho would be willing to join them if deal can be done amicably. No change in LFC position: Not for sale & happy at LFC.”
Liverpool are looking for a number of other signings this summer as Jurgen Klopp prepares for his second full season in charge at Anfield.
The Reds have landed Dominic Solanke, Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson so far this summer.
