Liverpool ‘confident’ of tying up £30m transfer deal – report
Liverpool are confident that they will be able to offload defender Mamadou Sakho this summer, say reports
Liverpool are “confident” that their £30m asking price for defender Mamadou Sakho will be met, according to reports in the British media.
The Liverpool Echo is reporting that the Merseyside outfit are hopeful that they will be able to offload the defender in the summer transfer window.
The same story says that the Reds have had a “flood” of enquiries for the French defender this summer but the Merseyside outfit are yet to tie up a deal for the 27-year-old.
The story says that Crystal Palace remain the front-runners for his signature after the defender spent the second half of last season on loan to the Eagles.
However, it also states that Palace are somewhat reluctant to pay the £30m asking price set by the Reds this summer.
Liverpool, meanwhile, are on the lookout for their third summer signing after having tied up deals for both Mohamed Salah and Dominic Solanke.
The Reds are being linked with a bid to sign RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita but it remains to be seen if a deal can be done.
