Arsenal and Liverpool cool interest in top striker due to price tag – report
Arsenal and Liverpool are two of the interested clubs in Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata this summer, according to reports in Spain
Arsenal and Liverpool have cooled their interest in Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata due to Florentino Perez’s lavish demands, according to reports in Spain.
Spanish outlet Don Balon, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that Arsenal and Liverpool are also suitors to sign the Spain international this summer alongside Premier League champions Chelsea.
However, the same article states that Real Madrid’s demands have put both Arsenal and Liverpool off the idea of a potential deal to sign the 24-year-old striker this summer.
According to the same story, Serie A duo AC Milan and Inter Milan are monitoring the former Juventus striker’s situation in the summer transfer window.
Arsenal signed Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette in a club-record £52m deal last week after Bosnian defender Sead Kolasinac became the first summer signing at the Emirates Stadium last month.
Jurgen Klopp has added Egypt international Mohamed Salah from AS Roma to his Liverpool squad, while England Under-20 international Domimic Solanke has swapped Chelsea for Liverpool.
Liverpool finished in fourth place and a point ahead of Arsenal in the Premier League table last season.
