Liverpool haven’t made a third offer to sign RB Leipzig star Naby Keita, according to reports in England.

The Independent is reporting that Liverpool are still interested in signing the Guinea international but the Bundesliga side have proven tough negotiators.

The same article claims that Keita felt a move to Liverpool was imminent but the German runners-up have no intention of selling the African midfielder this summer.

Keita moved to RB Leipzig in a £12.75m deal from Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg last summer and impressed with a return of eight goals and seven assists.

Liverpool have already been linked with two bids to sign the African star in the summer transfer window so far.

The Reds have signed Egypt international Mohamed Salah in a club-record £36.7m deal from Serie A giants AS Roma to bolster their attacking options.

The Merseyside outfit have also signed England Under-20 international Dominic Solanke from Chelsea before Scottish defender Andy Robertson moved to Liverpool from Hull City.

Liverpool finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last season to secure a return to the Champions League.
