Naby Keita has made it clear to RB Leipzig that he wants to sign for Liverpool this summer, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Mirror is claiming that the 22-year-old midfielder has told the Bundesliga outfit that he wants to link up with Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.

However, the same report states that Leipzig sporting director Ralf Rangnick, who is a close friend of Klopp’s, has told the Reds that Keita will not be sold at any price this summer.

The article says that it is ultimately going to come down to the player himself to force a deal.

Keita is said to have made it clear that he wants to move to Liverpool during a meeting with Rangnick last week.

Liverpool are inevitably being linked with a host of top players this summer as Klopp prepares his team for a return to the Champions League next season.

The German led the Reds to a top-four finish in the Premier League last season in what was his first full campaign in charge at Anfield.
