Liverpool told to forget about signing top 22-year-old midfielder – report
RB Leipzig are becoming increasingly irritated by Liverpool's pursuit of Naby Keita, according to reports
Liverpool have been told there is nothing that they can do to convince RB Leipzig to sell Naby Keita, according to reports in the English media.
The Times is reporting that the Bundesliga club are firm in their stance that the box-to-box midfielder won’t be sold in the summer transfer window.
The same story states that Liverpool have been looking to open up the lines of communication with RB Leipzig about a sorting out deal to sign Keita.
However, the German runners-up are becoming “increasingly angry and irritated” by Liverpool’s pursuit of the Guinea international.
The Reds have already risked the wrath of one Premier League club this summer after Liverpool’s bid to sign Netherlands international Virgil van Dijk.
The Merseyside outfit were forced to issue a statement apologising for their pursuit of Van Dijk and to end their interest in the top centre-half.
Liverpool have signed England Under-20 international Dominic Solanke and AS Roma winger Mohamed Salah in the summer transfer window so far.
The Reds finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last season to secure a return to the Champions League.
