Liverpool have placed a £133m price tag on Philippe Coutinho to warn off Barcelona in the summer transfer window, according to reports in Spain.

Spanish outlet Sport, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, is claiming that the Merseyside outfit have named their price for the Brazil international in an attempt to scare off the Spanish giants.

The same article states that Coutinho is open to a move to Barcelona but Liverpool want to get maximum value for their number 10 attacker.

Coutinho scored 13 goals and made seven assists in 31 appearances in the Premier League last season to help Jurgen Klopp’s side get over the line in the top four.

Indeed, the Liverpool star netted seven times in their last 10 top-flight games to help the Merseyside outfit beat Arsenal to fourth spot in the table.

The Reds signed three players in the summer transfer window so far after bringing in AS Roma winger Mohamed Salah, Chelsea teenager Dominic Solanke and Hull City defender Andy Robertson.

Liverpool are preparing for a return to the Champions League this season after a two-season absence.
