Man United target 24-year-old PSG star as third signing – report
Manchester United are switching their attentions towards Serge Aurier after struggling to agree a fee with Monaco for Fabinho, say reports
Manchester United have turned their attentions towards signing Serge Aurier from Paris Saint-Germain this summer as they continue to struggle to get a deal done to land Fabinho from Monaco, according to reports in the British media.
The Independent is reporting that the Red Devils have now focused on trying to land right-back Aurier from PSG after failing to have struck a deal with Monaco for Fabinho.
The same report claims that a right-back is next on Jose Mourinho’s shopping list as he prepares for his second season in charge at Old Trafford – and Aurier could fit the bill.
The story says that Fabinho has been Manchester United’s top target in that position all summer but the Red Devils have struggled in their negotiations with Monaco.
And that has prompted the Red Devils to start looking at 24-year-old Ivory Coast international Aurier as Manchester United eye their third signing of the summer.
The same report claims that Aurier could be signed for a fee of around £25m, considerably less than the £40m Monaco are thought to be demanding for Fabinho.
Manchester United have already signed two players so far this summer – defender Victor Lindelof from Benfica and striker Romelu Lukaku from Everton.
