Manchester United are still out to complete the signing of midfielder Fabinho from Monaco this summer, according to Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli.

Writing in his column for Tribal Football, Guilianelli reports that the Red Devils remain very much keen on signing the 23-year-old Brazilian this summer.

The same article dismisses some recent reports suggesting that Paris Saint-Germain are rivalling Manchester United for the signature of the midfielder this summer.

It is claimed in the same story that Monaco are holding out for their valuation of Fabinho to be met before allowing the midfielder to leave the club.

The same story says Manchester United, however, remain “very confident” of completing a deal to sign the Brazilian because the player himself wants to join the Red Devils.

Manchester United confirmed their second signing of the summer on Saturday when they announced a deal to land striker Romelu Lukaku from Everton.

The Red Devils moved quickly to bring in defender Victor Lindelof last month as Jose Mourinho prepares for his second season in charge at Old Trafford.
