Manchester United are confident of being able to conclude a deal to sign Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan in the next 48 hours, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Express is reporting that the Red Devils are finally closing in on a deal to sign the 28-year-old winger from the Italian club as they look to secure their third signing of the summer.

The same report states that the Red Devils look set to pay a transfer fee of around £47m for the Croatia international as Jose Mourinho looks to further bolster his attacking options.

The story says that Manchester United are prepared to try and thrash out a deal before Inter head to China for their pre-season tour.

Should Perisic sign for the Red Devils, he would become their third recruit of the summer as Mourinho gears his team up for a return to the Champions League next season.

The Red Devils completed the signing of Romelu Lukaku from Everton last week after also having tied up a deal to sign defender Victor Lindelof from Benfica last month.
