Manchester United are aiming to complete the signing of Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan within the next week, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Star is reporting that the Red Devils are eager to tie up a deal for the 28-year-old Croatia international, who has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent days.

The same report claims that Manchester United have been negotiating with Inter Milan about a possible deal since the end of last season without being able to come to an agreement.

However, the Red Devils are said to be “determined” to land their man and Jose Mourinho has instructed Manchester United chiefs to conclude a deal as quickly as possible.

Inter Milan are due to fly to China next week for their pre-season tour and Manchester United are said to be keen to land the winger before then.

The Red Devils are also said to be lining up a £50m bid for the winger, which the Premier League club expect to be accepted by the Italian side.

Manchester United confirmed their second signing of the summer on Monday when they tied up a deal to land Romelu Lukaku from Everton.
