Manchester United are making significant progress in their bid to sign Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan, according to Kaveh Solhekol.
The Sky Sports News reporter has claimed that the Red Devils are closing in on the signing of the 28-year-old winger after having been linked with a move for the Croatian for much of the summer.
Manchester United are believed to be on the lookout for attacking reinforcements this summer as Jose Mourinho prepares for his second season in charge at Old Trafford.
Perisic is one name to have been regularly linked with a move to Manchester United and the Red Devils are getting closer to agreeing a deal with Inter Milan after the Italian club lined up a possible replacement, according to Solhekol.
Solhekol said on Sky Sports News on Tuesday morning: “Manchester United are making real progress with their attempt to sign Ivan Perisic.
“So far, Inter have been refusing to lower their £48m asking price but a deal is getting closer.
“Inter are in talks to sign a replacement for Perisic – Keita Balde from Lazio. That should accelerate Perisic to Manchester United.”
Manchester United confirmed the signing of Romelu Lukaku from Everton last week after having also landed defender Victor Lindelof so far this summer.
