Man United ‘clear’ to make top 28-year-old their third signing – report
Manchester United's path to sign Nemanja Matic from Chelsea has been further cleared after Juventus start to look elsewhere, say reports

Manchester United’s path to sign Nemanja Matic from Chelsea has been further cleared after Juventus turned their attentions towards another transfer target, according to reports in the British media.
The Independent is reporting that Juventus, who were previously linked with Matic, have now turned their attentions towards landing Blaise Matuidi from Paris Saint-Germain.
Matic’s future at Chelsea has been a big source of speculation this summer, and his situation has been cast into further doubt after the Blues moved to sign midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko from Monaco.
The same story claims that Chelsea would much rather sell Matic to a foreign club, but the 28-year-old has informed the Blues that Old Trafford is his preferred destination this summer.
Jose Mourinho has made no secret of the fact that he wants to sign a new holding midfielder this summer as Michael Carrick approaches the end of his career.
The same article says that the Portuguese coach wants Manchester United to wrap up the signing of Matic from Chelsea before the start of the Premier League season next month.
The Red Devils are preparing for a return to the Champions League next season after they won the Europa League under the Portuguese coach last term.
