Dwight Yorke is expecting Manchester United to win the Premier League next season.

The Red Devils are currently gearing up for their second campaign under new manager Jose Mourinho following his appointment as the club’s new manager back in May of last year.

The Portuguese coach enjoyed a strong debut campaign at Old Trafford as he led the Red Devils to the EFL Cup and Europa League trophies to secure their return to the Champions League for next season.

However, their form in the Premier League left a lot to be desired, with Manchester United eventually slumping to a sixth-placed finish in the top-flight table.

Manchester United have already kicked off their summer spending by signing striker Romelu Lukaku and defender Victor Lindelof.

And former Red Devils star Yorke is feeling confident about the new campaign as Manchester United gear up for their second season under Mourinho at Old Trafford.

Yorke said in an interview with ESPN FC: “Things are building up nicely, they have won two competitions so far [under Mourinho] so that is progress, and they have qualified for the Champions League.

“We are expecting to win the Premier League this time round, something we haven’t been able to do for three or four seasons now.”

Manchester United fans will be hoping to see their club bring in some more reinforcements this summer as Mourinho looks to get his squad ready for the new season.
