Insider reveals Man United aren’t ‘actively pursuing’ top 28-year-old attacker
Sky Sports News reporter Kaveh Solhekol pours cold water on talk of Manchester United signing Gareth Bale this summer

Manchester United aren’t “actively pursuing” Real Madrid star Gareth Bale, Kaveh Solhekol has revealed on Twitter.
The Red Devils have been heavily linked with a move to sign the Wales international from the Champions League holders over the past week.
Jose Mourinho said at a media conference in Santa Clara last weekend that Manchester United wouldn’t be signing the 28-year-old this summer.
However, the manager’s efforts to quell speculation linking the Red Devils with a bid to sign Bale failed as speculation intensified.
Indeed, reports suggesting Real Madrid were on the cusp of signing Monaco teenager Kylian Mbappe earlier this week inevitably led to talk of Bale seeking a move to Old Trafford.
However, Sky Sports News reporter Solhekol has taken to Twitter to rule out Manchester United signing the former Tottenham Hotspur forward in the summer transfer window.
Solhekol wrote on Twitter: “Bale not a player Manchester United are actively pursuing. Were interested in 2013. Situation could change if Real Madrid wanted to sell.”
Bale moved to Real Madrid in an £85.3m deal from Spurs in the 2013 summer transfer window despite interest from Manchester United.
The Wales star has won three Champions League crowns, La Liga and the Copa del Rey during a four-season stay in the Spanish capital.
