The Red Devils finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last season to miss out on a European spot in the top-flight table.
However, Manchester United still managed to qualify for the Champions League after the Red Devils were 2-0 winners against Ajax in the Europa League final.
Jose Mourinho signed Sweden international Lindelof in a £30.7m deal from Portuguese champions Benfica to bolster his defensive options ahead of the new season.
The Manchester United manager has also added Everton striker Romelu Lukaku in a £75m deal after the Belgium international opted to move to Old Trafford instead of a return to Chelsea.
Mkhitaryan moved to Manchester United in a £30m deal from Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund last summer but endured a mixed first season at Old Trafford.
Speaking to Manchester United’s website about their summer signings, Mkhitaryan shed light on how Lindelof and Lukaku are adjusting to life at Old Trafford.
“They are training well,” Mkhitaryan told the club’s website.
“They are very good guys and we are trying to help them to adapt to the team. It is very important for them and us to get into the team as quickly as they can because we need them for the start of the season. We are doing our best to help them settle.”
Manchester United signed four players in the summer transfer window last year.
