Man United told sale of top Serie A winger won’t happen this summer
Inter Milan director Piero Ausilo tells Manchester United to forget about signing Ivan Perisic this summer
Manchester United have been told to forget about signing Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic this summer.
The Red Devils have been heavily linked with a move to sign the Croatia international throughout the summer transfer window so far.
Perisic is thought to be one of Jose Mourinho’s primary summer targets as the Red Devils boss looks to add much-needed pace to the team.
Manchester United are reportedly short of Inter Milan’s valuation of the 28-year-old winger as the transfer negotiations rumble on.
However, Inter Milan director Piero Ausilio has told Manchester United to forget about signing the Croatian winger in the summer transfer window.
“It’s not happening. Perisic is training with us,” Ausilo told Sky Sport Italia.
“So far we have not taken into consideration anything that Manchester United have offered us.”
Manchester United made Sweden international Victor Lindelof their first summer signing after completing a £30.7m deal with Portuguese champions Benfica last month.
The Red Devils managed to hijack Chelsea’s deal to bring Romelu Lukaku to Stamford Bridge after the Belgium international secured a £75m switch to Manchester United from Everton.
Mourinho won the EFL Cup and the Europa League in his first season in charge at Old Trafford following his appointment as Louis van Gaal’s successor last summer.
