Sky Sports News reporter Kaveh Solhekol says Manchester United will have to pay £48m to make Ivan Perisic their third summer signing
Manchester United will have to cough up £48m to make Ivan Perisic their third summer signing, Kaveh Solhekol has revealed.
The Red Devils have been heavily linked with a move to sign the Croatia international from Serie A giants Inter Milan in the summer transfer window.
Manchester United are have failed to match the Italian club’s valuation of the 28-year-old winger so far despite Jose Mourinho’s desire to sign the attacking midfielder.
Indeed, Inter Milan are thought to be demanding a transfer fee in the region of £48m despite signing Perisic in a £12m deal two seasons ago.
Sky Sports News reporter Solhekol warned Manchester United that Inter Milan won’t budge on their valuation of the Croatian star.
“What about wingers? One player Manchester United definitely are trying to sign is Ivan Perisic,” Solhekol told Sky Sports News HQ.
“Inter Milan are still asking for that £48m. There were some interesting comments from Inter manager Luciano Spalletti, who said he doesn’t want to sell Perisic but he would let him go for the right offer.”
Manchester United have signed Sweden international Victor Lindelof in a £30.7m deal from Portuguese champions Benfica in the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils made Romelu Lukaku their second summer addition after the Belgium completed a £75m switch from Premier League rivals Everton to Old Trafford.
