Reporter claims Man United want to make two more summer signings
Sky Sports News reporter Dharmesh Sheth reveals Manchester United want to make two further signings in the summer transfer window
Manchester United are still hoping to make two more signings in the summer transfer window but are struggling to get a deal over the line for Ivan Perisic, according to Dharmesh Sheth.
The Red Devils have been looking to lure Perisic from Serie A giants Inter Milan throughout the summer but Inter Milan have refused to budge on their valuation of the Croatia international.
Manchester United are also rumoured to be in the market to sign a defensive midfielder to provide Ander Herrera, Michael Carrick and Marouane Fellaini with more competition ahead of the 2017-18 season.
The Europa League winners have been linked with a move to sign Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic and Tottenham Hotspur’s England international Eric Dier in the summer transfer window.
Sky Sports News reporter Sheth has revealed that Manchester United are still hoping to make a further two additions to their squad.
“Let’s head to Manchester United,” Sheth told Sky Sports News on Wednesday morning.
“They’ve signed two players in this window, Romelu Lukaku and Victor Lindelof, and manager Jose Mourinho hopes they aren’t finished just yet. United want two more players.
“We understand the attacking midfielder that Mourinho is after is Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic, but the Italian club continue to play hardball.”
Manchester United signed Sweden international Victor Lindelof in a £30.7m deal from Portuguese champions Benfica.
The Red Devils brought in Romelu Lukaku in a £75m deal from Everton earlier this month despite the 24-year-old being previously linked with Chelsea.
