Man United offer cash plus player in latest bid to sign 28-year-old winger – report
Manchester United have offered cash plus Matteo Darmian in an attempt to sign Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic, according to reports in Italy
Manchester United have offered €20m (£17.7m) plus Matteo Darmian to Inter Milan in an attempt to get a deal to sign Ivan Perisic over the line, according to reports in Italy.
Mediaset Premium, as quoted by Football Italia, is reporting that Manchester United have tabled another offer to sign the Croatia international from the Serie A giants in the summer transfer window.
The same article states that the Red Devils’ latest bid to sign Perisic is unlikely to be enough despite including Italian defender Darmian as part of the revised bid.
However, the story suggests that Darmian’s value is around €20m (£17.7m), which would see the total value of the deal still come short of Inter Milan’s reported €45m price tag.
Manchester United have only signed Sweden international Victor Lindelof in a £30.7m deal from Portuguese champions Victor Lindelof in the summer transfer window so far, although they announced a deal to land Romelu Lukaku from Everton on Saturday morning.
The Red Devils secured a return to the Champions League thanks to a 2-0 victory over Dutch giants Ajax in the Europa League final in Stockholm.
