The Belgium international has been heavily linked with a move to sign for Manchester United over the past week or so in what was a surprise development after Chelsea were thought to be leading the race to bring in Lukaku.
The 24-year-old striker was thought to be keen on a return to the Premier League champions after Chelsea sold Lukaku to Everton in a £27m deal under Jose Mourinho’s management in the 2014 summer transfer window.
Lukaku is currently in Los Angeles with Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba and the Red Devils are set to head out to the Californian city at the weekend.
However, former Manchester United defender Neville appeared to announce that the Red Devils have signed Lukaku after posting a photo of the striker in the club’s new Adidas kit.
Neville wrote: “Left one great club and joined another @rlukaku9 congratulations”
Lukaku scored 25 times in 36 games in the Premier League last season to finish behind Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.
