Jose Mourinho has asked Manchester United to bring in three more key players this summer, say reports

Jose Mourinho has asked Manchester United to bring in three more players in key positions this summer, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Record is reporting that Mourinho has told Red Devils chiefs that he wants to bring in a new full-back, holding midfielder and winger as he prepares for his second season in charge at the club.

The Red Devils have inevitably been linked with some of Europe’s top players over the last few months but they have so far only concluded deals to bring in defender Victor Lindelof and striker Romelu Lukaku.

Mourinho is thought to want to considerably bolster his squad with some further additions this summer as he gears his team up for a return to the Champions League next season.

The Red Devils came up short in the Premier League last term when they ended up sixth in the Premier League table.

However, they did secure a return to Europe’s elite club competition by beating Ajax in the Europa League final in Stockholm back in May.

Mourinho was brought in as Louis van Gaal’s permanent successor at Old Trafford back in May 2016.
