Romelu Lukaku is set to link up with his new Manchester United team-mates in Los Angeles this weekend, according to reports in the British media.

The Guardian is reporting that Lukaku was due to undergo a medical in California on Thursday evening ahead of his proposed move to Old Trafford this summer.

The same report states that the 24-year-old Belgian striker will be set to link up with Manchester United’s squad as they jet out to LA to begin their pre-season tour.

Lukaku has also been heavily linked with Chelsea this summer and the same report states that the Blues were still convinced that there were set to land Lukaku even after the widespread reports that Manchester United have agreed a fee with Everton.

The Belgium international has been linked with a return to Chelsea, three years after he left Stamford Bridge to sign for the Toffees.

Manchester United completed their first signing of the summer last month when they secured a deal to sign defender Victor Lindelof from Benfica.
