Report delivers latest update on Chelsea’s link to top 24-year-old striker
Alvaro Morata is not keen on a move to Chelsea this summer, according to reports in Spain
Alvaro Morata is not keen on a transfer to Chelsea from Real Madrid this summer, according to reports in Spain.
Spanish radio station Onda Cero is claiming that the 24-year-old striker, who has long been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu this summer, is focused on Real Madrid.
Morata was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United throughout the summer but a move failed to materialise as the Red Devils eventually ended up signing Romelu Lukaku from Everton last week.
Since then, the Spanish forward has been touted as a possible target for Chelsea as Antonio Conte looks to bolster his attacking options at Stamford Bridge ahead of next season.
However, Onda Cero claims that Morata does not see Chelsea as a feasible “option” and is also not interested in a move to China this summer.
Chelsea have been linked with a host of players this summer and Conte is likely to want to beef up his front-line at Stamford Bridge given the continuing uncertainty about Diego Costa’s future at the club.
The Blues are preparing for a return to the Champions League next season after they won the title in Conte’s first campaign at the club.
