Arsene Wenger remained typically coy when asked if he plans to bring in any more players before the close of the transfer deadline on Thursday night.

Arsenal’s miserable start to the season continued on Sunday when they suffered a demoralising 4-0 loss to Liverpool at Anfield in the Premier League.

That result left the Gunners in 16th place in the Premier League table and having lost two of their opening three games of the new campaign.

Arsenal have been linked with a host of players throughout the summer but the north London side have only brought in Alexandre Lacazette and Sead Kolasinac so far.

It remains to be seen whether the Gunners will bring in any new faces before the transfer window closes on Thursday night.

However, Wenger was in no mood to discuss potential incomings when asked about his remaining transfer plans following Sunday’s thrashing by Liverpool.

Asked if he will sign any more players this summer, Wenger told Sky Sports: “We think a lot about that [transfers].

“[But] just after a performance like that, I don’t think it’s the moment to talk about it.”

Arsenal must now dust themselves down as they look to get back to winning ways after the international break when they host Bournemouth at The Emirates.

The north London side have not won the Premier League title since their famous unbeaten triumph in the 2003-04 campaign.
