Arsenal are hoping to tie up a deal to sign Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri this summer, say reports
Arsenal are hoping to tie up a deal for Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri before the close of the transfer window, according to reports.
ESPN is reporting that the Gunners are keen to bring the 26-year-old to The Emirates after he caught the north London club’s eye with his solid performances for the French side.
The same report says that Tottenham are also interested in the midfielder but Arsenal are ready to battle with their local rivals if the midfielder does become available.
However, the story also says that the Ivory Coast international’s availability could depend on whether Nice make it through Champions League qualifying.
Arsenal have been linked with a host of players so far this summer but have only concluded two signings.
Arsene Wenger has brought in defender Sead Kolasinac and striker Alexandre Lacazette as he readies his team for the new season.
The north London side will be hoping to challenge for the Premier League title next season as Wenger bids to win the trophy for the first time since Arsenal’s famous unbeaten triumph back in 2004.
