The Wales international has often been criticised for failing to produce consistent performances for Arsenal in recent years.
Ramsey will be hoping to play a key role in helping Arsenal mount a challenge for the Premier League title next season after the Gunners ended up in fifth place in the table last term,
Former Tottenham manager Redknapp is clearly a big fan of Ramsey and is tipping the 26-year-old midfielder to step his game up for the north London side next term.
Redknapp is quoted as saying by the Daily Star: “What Arsene Wenger should have going for him is Aaron Ramsey, who had a great European Championship last summer and then stuttered.
“But Aaron should be recovered now and I think he can have a great season.
“Arsenal are going to need players like him to stand up because they have to be back up there this year.”
Arsenal won the Emirates Cup last weekend despite losing 2-1 to Sevilla on Sunday afternoon.
The north London side will now be focused on gearing up for their Community Shield clash against Premier League champions Chelsea at Wembley on Sunday afternoon.
The Gunners are set to have to make do with Europa League football next season after the north Londoners failed to finish in the top four in the Premier League.
