Arsenal step up attempts to sign Colombian attacker – report
Arsenal are still interested in signing Juan Cuadrado from Juventus this summer, say reports
Arsenal have not given up hope of signing Juan Cuadrado from Juventus this summer, according to reports in Italy.
Italian website TransferMarketWeb, as quoted by the Daily Express, is claiming that the north London side remain keen on trying to lure the 29-year-old Colombia international to The Emirates.
Cuadrado failed to establish himself as a regular in the Chelsea team during his time at Stamford Bridge and he ended up signing for Juventus after a series of loan spells.
Now, it is being claimed that Arsenal are still interested in pursuing a deal for Cuadrado before the summer transfer window closes at the end of the month.
The same report says that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is keen to add another wide player to his squad as the Gunners look to challenge for the Premier League title this season.
Arsenal have been heavily linked with Monaco star Thomas Lemar all summer, but it is now being reported that the Gunners could switch their attentions towards Cuadrado.
The north London side are currently gearing up for their Premier League clash against Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday evening as they look to build on their 4-3 win over Leicester in their opener.
