Arsenal ready to make fresh bid to sign 23-year-old German – report
Arsenal are considering making a fresh attempt to sign Julian Draxler from Paris Saint-Germain this summer, say reports
Arsenal are considering making a fresh attempt to sign Julian Draxler this summer after Paris Saint-German made him available for transfer, according to reports in the British media.
The Times is reporting that PSG have deemed Draxler to be surplus to requirements following the arrival of Neymar from Barcelona in a world-record transfer deal.
The same report claims that Arsenal have attempted to sign Draxler “several” times in the past but have failed to bring the 23-year-old to The Emirates.
The story says that PSG would want a fee of around £32m for the Germany international, but that the Gunners could face competition from the likes of Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund for his signature.
Arsenal have been linked with a host of top players this summer but have so far only concluded deals to sign Alexandre Lacazette and Sead Kolasinac.
The Gunners are currently preparing for their Premier League clash against Stoke City on Saturday evening as they look to make it two wins from two in the top flight.
Arsenal kicked off the new Premier League season in thrilling fashion when they sealed a 4-3 victory over Leicester City at The Emirates in their opening game of the season.
