Thierry Henry is backing Arsenal to finish in the top four but doesn’t expect the Gunners to win the title.

The north London side got their title challenge off to a winning start with a 4-3 victory over Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium on Friday night.

Late goals from Olivier Giroud and Aaron Ramsey secured three points for the hosts after Arsene Wenger’s side came from behind twice in their opener.

Arsenal missed out on a top-four finish last season after Liverpool managed to finish ahead of the FA Cup holders on thew final day of the 2016-17 season.

The Gunners haven’t won the Premier League title since Henry, Patrick Vieira and Robert Pires helped to fire the north London club to a famous unbeaten campaign.

Wenger signed Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette in a £52m club-record deal and Schalke 04 defender Sead Kolasinac in a free transfer.

Former Arsenal striker Henry doesn’t consider the Gunners to be serious title challengers despite their winning start to the 2017-18 season.

“Arsenal can make top four, I’m not convinced but I think they can,” Henry told Sky Sports.

“The problem in our league is a lot of teams can make top four.”

Arsenal haven’t challenged for the Premier League title over the past five or six seasons as Wenger continued to keep pace with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City.
