Ian Wright sends message to Arsenal fans about new signing
Ian Wright was delighted to see Arsenal tie up deals for Alexandre Lacazette and Sead Kolasinac this summer
Ian Wright has given his seal of approval to Arsenal’s signing of Alexandre Lacazette this summer.
The French international became the Gunners’ second acquisition of the summer back in July when he joined the north London side from French side Lyon in a club-record deal.
The 26-year-old was one of Ligue 1’s most impressive strikers and Arsenal fans will be hoping that he will be able to hit the ground running in the Premier League this season.
And Arsenal legend Wright has admitted that he was delighted to see the Gunners tie up a deal for the Frenchman this summer.
Speaking to BBC Radio 5 live on Monday, Wright said: “We got Lacazette, which I was quite happy with. If he gets the service, he could score goals. He has previous [of doing this].”
Wright was also delighted to see Arsenal tie up a deal for left-back Sead Kolasinac from Schalke on a free transfer back at the start of the window.
He added: “Kolasinac looks like a brilliant signing. He gets in the box and he scores goals.”
Arsenal are getting ready to kick off their Premier League campaign with a home clash against Leicester City at The Emirates on Friday night.
The north London side beat Chelsea to win the Community Shield on Sunday on penalties after a 1-1 draw, in which Kolasinac netted his first goal for the club.
