Arsenal could make move to sign new striker this summer – report
Arsenal could still be set to make a move to sign a new striker this summer, according to reports
Arsenal could be set to make a late move to bring in a new striker this summer amid the uncertainty about Olivier Giroud’s future, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the north London side could still be set to sign a new front-man this summer, despite having already added Alexandre Lacazette to their squad.
Giroud’s future continues to be a source of speculation, and the Frenchman has been touted as a potential target for Everton in recent weeks.
Arsene Wenger opted to start with Danny Welbeck and Alexandre Lacazette up front for the Gunners on Sunday as they beat Chelsea to win the Community Shield.
And it seems that Arsenal could be set to make another move to bring in a forward, but only if Giroud does indeed leave the club.
Arsenal are now preparing for their Premier League opener against Leicester City at The Emirates on Friday night as they bid to get their season off to a winning start.
The Gunners have brought in Lacazette and defender Sead Kolasinac so far this summer as Wenger prepares his squad for the 2017-18 campaign.
