Thierry Henry sends warning to Arsenal fans about Man United
Thierry Henry warns Arsenal fans that Manchester United are looking extremely strong this season
Thierry Henry has warned Arsenal fans that Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United team look very similar to the Gunners’ famous unbeaten side.
Henry made history along with his team-mates as they became the first team to go an entire Premier League season unbeaten on their way to the title in the 2003-04 campaign.
Mourinho has brought in a number of players since taking charge at Old Trafford last summer and now looks to have assembled a powerful team capable of challenging for the title.
Manchester United kicked off their season with an impressive 4-0 thrashing of West Ham United at Old Trafford on Sunday as they look to challenge for the Premier League trophy this term.
And Arsenal legend Henry has admitted that the Red Devils side has lots of similarities to Arsene Wenger’s famous Invincibles team.
Speaking on Monday Night Football on Sky Sports, Henry said: “Do I see the Invincibles in this Man United team? Oh yeah.
“When I see them especially on Sunday I saw that. I saw power, pace, guys with ideas and legs.
“They can cover the ground really quickly, that’s very important. We had that at Arsenal.
“Mourinho likes bringing players he knows are going to be able to play the way he likes to play.”
Manchester United are now preparing for their first Premier League away game of the season, when they take on Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday lunchtime.
The Red Devils finished sixth but won the EFL Cup and Europa League trophies last season in what was Mourinho’s first campaign in charge.
