Arsenal keen on signing 29-year-old defender before deadline – report
Arsenal are interested in signing defender Jonny Evans from West Brom, according to reports

Arsenal are interested in signing Jonny Evans from West Bromwich Albion before the transfer window closes on Thursday, according to reports in the British media.
Sky Sports is reporting that Evans has emerged as a target for the north London club as Arsene Wenger looks to bolster his defensive options ahead of the deadline.
The same report says that an enquiry from Arsenal has been submitted to West Brom, but that the Baggies are as of yet unaware of any official interest from the Gunners.
The story also claims that both Manchester City and Leicester City have had bids rejected for the 29-year-old defender this summer.
The article also makes it clear that Arsenal have not yet made a formal bid for the former Manchester United defender.
Arsenal are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings before the transfer window closes at 23:00 BST on Thursday.
The north London side have been linked with a whole host of players throughout the summer but they have only signed Alexandre Lacazette and Sead Kolasinac so far.
Arsenal have made a stuttering start to the Premier League season, losing two and winning one of their opening three games and conceding eight goals in the process.
