Arsenal are hoping to steal a march on Inter Milan and sign exciting teenager Yann Karamoah in a “photo finish”, according to reports in Italy.
Tuttosport, as quoted by Sport Witness, is reporting that the Serie A giants are hoping to sign the 19-year-old from French side Caen in the summer transfer window.
Indeed, the Italian publication reported on Friday that Caen manager Patrice Garande has already confirmed that Karamoah is likely to leave and is planning to sign a replacement for the teenager.
However, the same article reveals that Italian giants Inter Milan are could see their plans disrupted by FA Cup winners Arsenal, who are preparing a last-ditch bid to sign the Ivorian talent.
Indeed, Arsenal aren’t the only Premier League club interested in the Caen starlet with the Italian media outlet reporting that Everton, Southampton and West Ham linked have also been linked with Karamoah.
The 19-year-old netted five times and made four assists in 35 appearances in Ligue 1 last season to attract interest from some of Europe’s top clubs.
Arsenal have already signed two players in the summer transfer window as Arsene Wenger looks to rebuild after last season’s fifth-place finish.
The Gunners have recruited Bosnian defender Sead Kolasinac and Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette.
