Arsenal want to bring in Virgil van Dijk and Thomas Lemar before the transfer window closes on Thursday night, according to reports.
Tribal Football columnist Emanuele Guilianelli is reporting that the north London club are looking to sign both the defender and the midfielder before the close of the window this week.
The same report in Tribal Football, though, says that the proposed moves for the duo are dependent on the Gunners being able to raise funds by selling some players before the deadline.
Arsenal have long been linked with a move for Lemar this summer but Arsene Wenger played down the chances of a deal for the France international being down by describing the proposed move as “dead” last week.
Van Dijk, meanwhile, has been relentlessly linked with Liverpool this summer but the Reds were forced to withdraw their interest in the player and issue a public apology back in June after being accused of an alleged illegal approach by Southampton.
Arsenal fans will be eagerly waiting to see what happens in the remaining days of the transfer window after the Gunners suffered a humiliating 4-0 loss to Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.
That result left the north London side 16th in the table, having lost two of their opening three games.
