Insider hints at blow for Chelsea in search for fifth summer signing
Juventus are not planning to sell Alex Sandro to Chelsea this summer, says Kaveh Solhekol
Juventus are not planning to sell Alex Sandro to Chelsea this summer, according to Kaveh Solhekol.
The west London side have been heavily linked with a move to bring the 26-year-old Brazilian to Stamford Bridge this summer as Antonio Conte looks to bolster his defensive options ahead of next season.
However, despite all of the speculation, it seems that Chelsea have been unable to agree on a fee with Juventus for the transfer of the full-back.
Now, Sky Sports News reporter Solhekol has taken to Twitter to claim that it is unlikely Chelsea will be able to tempt Juve into selling Sandro this summer.
Solhekol wrote on Twitter on Monday: “Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri says Chelsea target Alex Sandro will not be sold this summer. Already lost defenders Bonucci and Alves.”
Chelsea have signed four players so far this summer after having tied up deals for Willy Caballero, Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alvaro Morata.
The west London side are aiming to retain their Premier League title and also mount a challenge in the Premier League next season in Conte’s second campaign at Stamford Bridge.
