Insider confirms Chelsea, Liverpool are interested in signing 23-year-old attacker
The Sky Sports News reporter confirms Chelsea and Liverpool are interested in signing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal this summer
Kaveh Solhekol has revealed that Chelsea and Liverpool are still interested in signing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal.
The Gunners midfielder is facing an uncertain future at the Emirates Stadium after the 23-year-old entered the final 12 months of his contract.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has failed to agree a deal with the north London side to prompt talk of a move to one of Arsenal’s title rivals.
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is thought to be interested in signing the England international to provide cover at wing-back and in midfield.
Former Southampton midfielder Oxlade-Chamberlain has been linked with a potential switch to Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
And Sky Sports News reporter Solhekol revealed that Arsenal are facing a battle to keep the England international at the Emirates Stadium.
“What about Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain? He’s also just got 12 months to go on his contract,” Solhekol told Sky Sports News on Wednesday.
“Arsenal don’t want to sell him but Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City are all interested in signing him.”
Oxlade-Chamberlain scored six goals and made 11 assists in 27 starts and 18 substitute appearances in all competitions in the 2016-17 campaign.
Arsenal signed the 23-year-old in a £12m deal from Southampton in 2010 but Oxlade-Chamberlain has failed to realise his talent at The Emirates.
The Gunners have signed Bosnian defender Sead Kolasinac in a free transfer from Bundesliga outfit Schalke 04 in June.
The north London side have also signed Alexandre Lacazette in a club-record £52m deal from Ligue 1 side Lyon.
