Chelsea are still keen on signing Alex Sandro from Juventus but could be forced to rely on the left-back asking to leave his current club, according to Kaveh Solhekol.

The Sky Sports News reporter has taken to Twitter to claim that Chelsea remain interested in signing the 26-year-old Brazilian, despite having so far failed in their attempts to try and lure him to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are thought to still be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as Antonio Conte looks to thicken his squad ahead of the close of the transfer window.

Now, reporter Solhekol has confirmed that Chelsea remain interested in Sandro but Juventus are still not keen on selling the full-back this summer.

Solhekol wrote on Twitter: “Chelsea back in for Alex Sandro. Juventus still don’t want to sell. Chelsea may now be relying on the left back asking to leave.”

The Blues made a poor start to the season on Saturday as they were beaten 3-2 by Burnley at Stamford Bridge in their Premier League opener.

The west London side, who are set to make a return to the Champions League next month, will be aiming to return to winning ways when they take on Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley in their next Premier League game on Sunday afternoon.
