Antonio Conte sends clear message to Chelsea fans about Cesc Fabregas
Cesc Fabregas is working hard to become a top player for Chelsea, according to Antonio Conte

Cesc Fabregas is working hard behind the scenes to be an important player for Chelsea, according to Antonio Conte.
The Spanish midfielder opened the scoring for Chelsea as they secured a 2-0 victory over Everton at Stamford Bridge on Sunday to get their title bid back on track.
Fabregas was sent off in Chelsea’s shock 3-2 opening-weekend defeat by Burnley at Stamford Bridge but made amends by helping to fire the Blues to victory over the Toffees, adding to Alvaro Morata’s goal.
The 30-year-old former Arsenal captain found his first team opportunities to be somewhat limited last season as the Blues won the Premier League title.
However, Conte has insisted that he has been happy with Fabregas’ commitment and attitude over the last few weeks.
Conte is quoted as saying by the Evening Standard: “Cesc played a good game. Like Cesc, all the players performed very well.
“He scored an important goal for us. We all know his characteristics. He’s a great player, good technique: when we have possession with Cesc, we can play really good football.
“Now he’s trying also to improve the defensive situations to try and be more strong, to try and be a bit like N’Golo. But he has to work (on that). And N’Golo has to work to become Cesc with the ball.”
It remains to be seen whether Chelsea will bring in any more new players before the transfer window closes on Thursday night.
The Blues continue to be linked with a number of top stars but have only made four signings so far this summer.
Conte’s side return to Premier League action after the international break when they take on Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday 9 September.
