Chelsea are interested in signing Jamie Vardy from Leicester City to partner Alvaro Morata, say reports
Chelsea are considering a move to sign Jamie Vardy from Leicester City as they look to bolster their attacking options at Stamford Bridge this summer, according to reports.
The Daily Telegraph is reporting that the the Blues are pondering a move for the 30-year-old England international as the west London side look to further strengthen their attack.
Chelsea have already signed Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid this summer as Antonio Conte looks to bolster his attacking options and build a team capable of challenging on four fronts this season.
The Blues, however, will have to make do without Diego Costa this season as they prepare for life without the Spain international.
The same report in the Daily Telegraph says that Chelsea have considered a move for Vardy, along with Fernando Llorente, Christian Benteke and Andrea Belotti.
Chelsea have been relatively active in the summer transfer window so far, having tied up deals for Morata, Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Willy Caballero.
However, the west London side continue to be linked with a host of other players as they look to try and compete for silverware on four fronts this season.
The Blues picked up their first Premier League points of the season on Sunday, as they beat Tottenham 2-1 at Wembley.
