Alvaro Morata takes to social media to reflect on Chelsea's 3-2 loss to Burnley on Saturday at Stamford Bridge

Alvaro Morata has insisted that there is plenty more to come from Chelsea after their disappointing 3-2 loss to Burnley in their Premier League opener on Saturday.

The Blues were reduced to nine men as they had both Cesc Fabregas and Gary Cahill sent off at Stamford Bridge in what ended up to be a day to forget for Antonio Conte’s men.

Morata did get on the scoresheet for the Blues as he came off the bench to make his Premier League debut, but it wasn’t enough, as the west London side slumped to a shock defeat in front of their home fans.

However, after the game, Morata took to social media to insist that he and his team-mates will not be demoralised by the opening day defeat by the Clarets in west London.

Morata posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “The match didn’t go as we expected, but this is just the beginning! 💪🏻💪🏻”

Morata, who signed for Chelsea from Real Madrid last month, will be hoping to feature from the start when the Blues take on Tottenham at Wembley in their next Premier League game next weekend.

The Blues are still expected to make some more signings before the close of the summer transfer window at the end of the month.
