Cesc Fabregas is clearly looking forward to the new season as Chelsea prepare to take on Arsenal on Sunday

Cesc Fabregas has taken to social media to reveal his excitement about Chelsea kicking off their new season with a crunch clash against Arsenal in the Community Shield on Sunday afternoon.

The Premier League champions head into the game looking to gain revenge on their local rivals after Arsenal were 2-1 winners over Chelsea in the FA Cup final at Wembley back in May.

Fabregas came on as a second half substitute in that game but was unable to inspire Chelsea to victory over the Gunners.

The Blues will be hoping to win the first trophy available to them when they take on Arsenal on Sunday in north London.

And Fabregas is clearly excited about lining up for the Blues against his former club at Wembley once again.

Fabregas posted the picture above on his Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Season number 15… Let’s go!! ⚽️”

Chelsea have signed four players so far this summer after having tied up deals for Willy Caballero, Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alvaro Morata.

Arsenal, meanwhile, have so far brought in two new faces in the form of Alexandre Lacazette and Sead Kolasinac as they look to improve on their fifth-placed finish last term.
