Chelsea want to sign both Virgil van Dijk and Danny Drinkwater this summer, according to Sky Sports’ Jim White.

The Blues continue to be linked with a host of different players this summer as Antonio Conte prepares for his second season in charge of the west London side.

Chelsea have been relatively busy in the transfer market so far, having wrapped up deals for Willy Caballero, Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alvaro Morata so far.

The west London side are thought to be on the lookout for more signings, however, as Conte looks to assemble a team capable of fighting for trophies on four fronts next season.

Now, Sky Sports News reporter White is claiming that Chelsea have concrete interest in signing both defender Van Dijk and midfielder Drinkwater this summer.

White wrote on Twitter on Saturday morning: “Top source reveals @ChelseaFC boss Antonio Conte wants Virgil van Dijk and is big admirer of Danny Drinkwater.”

Chelsea won the Premier League title last season as Conte’s side secured a record 30 victories on their way towards the title.

The west London side are now also preparing for a return to the Champions League next season after their impressive title triumph last term.

Chelsea take on Arsenal in the Community Shield at Wembley on Sunday afternoon.
